I built this for the moments between sessions.

In my therapy practice, I kept hearing the same thing. My clients knew the coping skills. They understood their patterns. They could name what was happening. But in the moments when their nervous system actually needed help — the middle of the workday, the long Sunday afternoon, the 2am spiral — the knowing did not translate into doing.

So I built this. A simple, beautiful, therapist-created companion that meets you in the actual moment. Not a course. Not a journal you have to remember to open. Just a place to land when you need it, with tools that work whether you have ninety seconds or twenty minutes.

Is the free version really free?
Yes. The check-ins, today's reflection prompt, and the core breathwork tools are free to use as long as you want, with no account required. You can also create a free account if you want to save your history across devices. The only thing that costs money is the premium practice library, which is a one-time $19.99 purchase.
Do I need to download anything?
No. The Calming App runs in your web browser on any device. No app store, no downloads, no updates. Just open the link, and the app loads. You can also save it to your home screen like an app if you want a one-tap shortcut.
What's the difference between this and other meditation apps?
Two main things. First, this app was built by a licensed therapist working with real clients, not by a software company looking for engagement metrics. The tools reflect what actually helps people regulate, not what keeps them scrolling. Second, it is intentionally simple. There are no streaks, no notifications, no gamification. Just tools, when you need them.
Is this a substitute for therapy?
No, and it is not designed to be. This is a wellness tool for everyday regulation, reflection, and emotional check-ins.
